Catherine Howarth joined ShareAction as Chief Executive in 2008. ShareAction is an NGO with a mission to define and promote the highest global standards of responsible investment. Catherine is a member of the Financial Conduct Authority’s advisory committee on sustainable finance and HM Treasury’s Asset Management Taskforce. Previously, she served as a member-elected trustee of The Pensions Trust and on the board of the Scott Trust, owner of The Guardian Media Group. She was recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2014. In 2020 she featured on the BBC Woman’s Hour Power List, and in 2022 was awarded an OBE for ‘services to sustainability’. She often shares thoughts on LinkedIn.
