Who we are

Charlotte Moore

After graduating with a degree in chemistry, Charlotte started her career as a pharmaceutical investment analyst. Although she still has a soft spot for spreadsheets, a desire to do something more creative saw her switch to journalism in her early thirties.

She applied her entrepreneurial flair, her passion for fundamental analysis and her endless curiosity to large professional investors. She became an award-winning journalist, specialising in how and why large UK institutions invest the way they do.

That passion for asset allocation led her to examine how regulation and market forces shape how different institutions invest to protect the planet and improve society.

Noticing a lack of space for the industry to discuss the complexities and opportunities in sustainable investing, she created her own networking events to meet this need.

Sustainable investment is not just an academic interest. A keen scuba diver, the impact of climate change on coral reefs and the resultant bleaching causes her concern. She desires a sensible way for policy makers and investors to work together to mitigate the impact of human activity on the planet.

She learnt how to master the spotlight through her sustainable networking events. She now hosts her own podcasts, acts as a master of ceremonies as well as creating and moderating panels.

She remains a working journalist. Here is a list of her published articles.

These later linguistic abilities proved helpful in managing communication agencies in Europe, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and China.

Working in asset management gave her a crash course in pensions, institutional investments, wealth management and capital markets.

She held senior communication positions, working with senior leaders and executives. She provided strategic communications advice and shared responsibility for managing the corporate identity and reputation of the business.

Throughout her career she coached individuals to develop their communication skills and tell better stories than their competitors.

She developed a passion for sustainable investing and applied it to her personal life. She invested in double glazed windows for her flat, does not own a car and loves nothing more than an early Sunday-morning trip to the recycling centre!

She wants to continue alpine skiing and understands that ski resorts are already feeling the effects of climate change with shorter seasons and greater levels of precipitation.

Working with journalists and senior leaders has taught her about the importance of the client experience and how communications is an essential part of the tool kit to building relationships.
